Hi Reader,

If you feel like you're not yourself during that week ahead of your period, listen to this week's episode of I'm Hormonal to learn why and what you can do:

Just a short email today because I want my main point to be extra πŸ’Ž crystal clear πŸ’Ž :

PMS is a signal from your body that something is out of balance.

You live a busy life. You're on the go. And the monthly ritual of asking yourself "why am I crying over this absolutely unimportant, meaningless thing?" is a signal to you that your body would appreciate some attention.

⬆️ (Or was that just me? Once cried simply because my boyfriend poured out some water I'd just heated for tea.)

Think of PMS as your period report card. My telltale sign is achy boobs. What's yours?

Regardless, when I feel like something's up I start to ask myself -- what was my stress like this month? How've I been eating? Am I nourishing my body? Am I overexerting myself?

And I use that as my guide to move forward.

It might be similar for you, or there might be some extra digging needed to figure out what's causing you to feel on the edge.

You deserve to feel like yourself and to have easy periods. If this is you, listen to this week's episode and hit "reply" here to let me know what you think about it.
