Hi Reader,
There's been a bit of a break in your normal newsletters from me (more updates on what's been going on at the end of the email if you're interested) --
but I'm back in your inbox today because I want to talk about something that I hear from SO many of my clients. And it might be something that has been holding you back from feeling your best too.
I just need to be more consistent
I crave sweets everyday--no matter what.
I hit snooze everyday because I wake up feeling exhausted still.
Thoughts like these might have you feeling like you just need more discipline. You just need willpower.
And yet each week you feel like you're just restarting again. Every Monday is a renewed effort to meet your wellness goals.
I'm here to tell you though--
If you are starting with out-of-whack hormones. Unpredictable periods. Low or fluctuating energy levels. If you have a bloating, acne, or other digestive challenges...
These imbalances in and of themselves can make it VERY tough for you to accomplish your nutrition goals, let alone having the energy to accomplish your workout goals.
What do I mean by that?
In American society, we're told to do more more more. "Feeling tired? Workout HARDER." But that isn't what your body needs when it's trying to restore balance.
Listen to this week's episode of I'm Hormonal to learn about how imbalances in your gut, with your sex hormones, or with your stress hormone can actually be sending signals to your body to eat more, grab another slice of dessert, and to hit that snooze button one more time.
Breaking Free from the "You Need More Willpower" Myth | Ep. 120
&
[Mini] 6 Ways Your Body Makes You Think You Lack Willpower | Ep. 121
You don't need more willpower, you just need a plan that matches what's actually happening in your body and that will support your hormones.
For example....
Within the first week of starting our 1:1 work together, one of my clients sent me this message after we switched her workouts from evening to morning. She also started getting out in the sunshine for a few minutes after breakfast and after lunch. 👇
Instead of trying to force herself to power through periods of low energy, we made easy adjustments to support her cortisol levels. She is an incredibly smart, strong, and productive human.
She did NOT need more willpower.
She just needed a guide to help her see that society's and social media's normal recommendations weren't a good fit for her. So we found something that works better for her...
And it's working so well that she's curious about what type of witchcraft I'm dabbling in. 😂
If you want to dabble in this type of "witchcraft" too, listen to this week's episodes of the podcast. Hit "reply" and let me know what you think.
xo, Bridget
P.S. Hello to you beautiful humans who perhaps read all the way to the end to get an update on what's been happening with the newsletter lately :).
As you may have noticed, we did a little rebrand. ✨

What's can you expect to see from us soon?
- Value-driven emails that will help you realize what's missing for you in your hormone journey and which connect you to our favorite podcasts that can fill in the gap (like this one)
- Online, virtual (free!) classes
- What do you gals think about an I'm Hormonal community where we have monthly challenges and live Q&A calls so you can support your hormones alongside likeminded women? 👀 Hit "reply" and give me a lil thumbs up if you're into that. 🙃
